Preparation time: 35 minutes ( including the Freezing time )

Ingredients:

Potatoes (boiled and grated): 4 pcs

Onion (finely chopped): 1 pcs

Maida: 4 tbsp

Bread crumbs: 1 Cup

Green chilies (finely chopped): 1 pcs

Red chilly powder: 1/2 tsp

Roasted cumin powder: 1 tsp

Roasted Coriander powder: 1 tsp

Lemon juice: 1 tsp

Ginger - garlic paste: 1tsp

Salt to taste

Let's start!

· Take potatoes in a mixing bowl

· Add onions, green chillies and dry spices

· Add lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste and salt and mix well

· Lastly add 1tbs maida and bread crumbs and bind well

· Keep this dough in the freezer for 10-15 minutes

· Keep oil to heat and meanwhile take about 3 tbs of maida in a small bowl and mix in 1/4 Cup of water to make a thick flowing paste (slurry)

· Remove the dough from the freezer and taking small portions shape them into roundels or small balls

· Now spread some bread crumbs on a plate

· Dip each potato ball into the slurry, roll it in the bread crumbs and fry in hot oil

· Remove on a tissue and serve hot

· Put a toothpick in each ball before serving.

Note :

. Keep the flame medium high throughout.

. Do not touch the balls till they are done on one side and then turn

them gently.

. You can prepare the potato balls and keep them in the freezer in

an airtight box for a good 10-15 days. Fry them when you like.
