(Serves 2-3 people)
Ingredients:
Small Potatoes: 250 gms
Red chilly powder: 1/2 tsp
Jeera powder: 1/2 tsp
Dhania powder: 1/2 tsp
Oil to fry
Let's Begin!
Peel and wash potatoes
Prick each potato in 5-6 places using a fork
Put potatoes in a pressure cooker with 1tbsp salt and 2 cups of water
Switch off the flame after 1 whistle and immediately release the steam
Drain and let them cool
Cut them into halves
Fry the potato halves in medium hot oil till they change colour to light golden
Remove on a plate and press each piece with the back of a bowl to make it flat
Now drop them into hot oil and fry till crispy and light brown
Remove from oil into a bowl and add the dry spices and give it a quick mix
Serve hot, topped with Mint Chutney and curd (optional)
You can garnish it with some pomegranate seeds.
