Crispy Aloo Chaat

(Serves 2-3 people)


Ingredients:

Small Potatoes: 250 gms

Red chilly powder: 1/2 tsp

Jeera powder: 1/2 tsp

Dhania powder: 1/2 tsp

Oil to fry


Let's Begin!


  • Peel and wash potatoes

  • Prick each potato in 5-6 places using a fork

  • Put potatoes in a pressure cooker with 1tbsp salt and 2 cups of water

  • Switch off the flame after 1 whistle and immediately release the steam

  • Drain and let them cool

  • Cut them into halves

  • Fry the potato halves in medium hot oil till they change colour to light golden

  • Remove on a plate and press each piece with the back of a bowl to make it flat

  • Now drop them into hot oil and fry till crispy and light brown

  • Remove from oil into a bowl and add the dry spices and give it a quick mix

  • Serve hot, topped with Mint Chutney and curd (optional)

  • You can garnish it with some pomegranate seeds.
