Ingredients
Lauki: 2 cups (grated)
Sugar: 1/2 cup
Black Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp
Green Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp
Milk: 1 cup
Malai/Khoya: 2-3 tbsp
Ghee: 1 tbsp
Dry fruits: as per choice
Let's Begin!
Put Lauki in a pressure cooker with milk and sugar
Switch off the flame at the first whistle
Remove into a pan and put on high flame stirring occasionally
As it dries up, add malai and stir well
Add cardamom powders and mix
If it starts leaving sides and ghee separates then switch off the flame
Add dry fruits and melon seeds (magaz)
Note:
You can either use khoya or malai
If the Halwa leaves sides when khoya or malai is added then there’s no need to add ghee.
