Lauki ka halwa

Ingredients


Lauki: 2 cups (grated) Sugar: 1/2 cup Black Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp Green Cardamom powder: 1/4 tsp Milk: 1 cup Malai/Khoya: 2-3 tbsp Ghee: 1 tbsp Dry fruits: as per choice

Let's Begin!

  • Put Lauki in a pressure cooker with milk and sugar

  • Switch off the flame at the first whistle

  • Remove into a pan and put on high flame stirring occasionally

  • As it dries up, add malai and stir well

  • Add cardamom powders and mix

  • If it starts leaving sides and ghee separates then switch off the flame

  • Add dry fruits and melon seeds (magaz)

Note:

  • You can either use khoya or malai

  • If the Halwa leaves sides when khoya or malai is added then there’s no need to add ghee.
