Ingredients


Samak chawal:1 cup

Ghee: 2 tbsps

Vegetables: 2 cups (roughly chopped)

Tomatoes: 2 (chopped)

Jeera: 1 tsp

Coriander powder: 1 tsp

Red chilly powder: 1/2 tsp

Sendha Namak: 1 tsp (as per taste)

Green chillies: 2 (optional)

Coriander leaves: 2 tbsps


Let's Begin!

  • Wash rice and keep aside

  • Put ghee in a Pressure Cooker, add jeera

  • When jeera splutters, add ginger, chopped chillies and tomatoes

  • Sauté the mix on a high flame and add chilly powder and coriander powder and stir

  • Now add chopped vegetables and salt and sauté for a minute

  • When done, mix in the rice and add 2.5 cups of water

  • Close the lid of the pressure cooker

  • Switch off the flame at the first whistle and let the steam release on its own

  • Garnish with green coriander Serve hot with a little ghee.
