Ingredients
Samak chawal:1 cup
Ghee: 2 tbsps
Vegetables: 2 cups (roughly chopped)
Tomatoes: 2 (chopped)
Jeera: 1 tsp
Coriander powder: 1 tsp
Red chilly powder: 1/2 tsp
Sendha Namak: 1 tsp (as per taste)
Green chillies: 2 (optional)
Coriander leaves: 2 tbsps
Let's Begin!
Wash rice and keep aside
Put ghee in a Pressure Cooker, add jeera
When jeera splutters, add ginger, chopped chillies and tomatoes
Sauté the mix on a high flame and add chilly powder and coriander powder and stir
Now add chopped vegetables and salt and sauté for a minute
When done, mix in the rice and add 2.5 cups of water
Close the lid of the pressure cooker
Switch off the flame at the first whistle and let the steam release on its own
Garnish with green coriander Serve hot with a little ghee.
